Almost 160 privately held companies submitted nominations for the list, including detailed financial performance information. The Business Journal along with accounting firm and Fast 50 partner, Withum, parsed the data to assemble the rankings. To be considered, firms must be headquartered in Massachusetts with a revenue of at least $500,000 in 2013, and $1 million in 2016. The awards ceremony was held on May 11, at F1 Boston in Braintree.

For the third consecutive year, Mass.-based Pure Incubation has been included in Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, an elite ranking of the country’s fastest-growing private companies. Pure Incubation is number 1,985 this year with a revenue of $9.5 million. Innovative tech products that accelerate the sales process and connect clients with their markets, a passion for excellence, and a dedicated, customer-centric team all combined to help Pure Incubation continue to push the envelope of excellence and growth.

Melissa Chang, CEO of Pure Incubation attributes the company’s success to two things:

When I started Pure Incubation almost 9 years ago (has it really been that long!?) I had no idea that we would be where we are today. I mean, I always knew that Barry and I would build something amazing, but you had told me that we would have more than 200 employees in five major cities around the world. Well, I probably would have laughed at you.

 

But here we are.

 

About three years ago, we realized that it was time to spin the B2B tech and business side of our firm out into its own company – and that’s when PureB2B was born. During the past three years, the amount that’s changed in the online demand gen space is remarkable. The market continues to shift and change at an incredible speed.
